In the duplicate image, carefully position the cursor inside the selection The replace color dialog box comes up, I use the eyedropper tool to select the color I want to replace (in this particular case it was a blown out sky), double click the color swatch in the bottom of the dialog bo I converted image to RGB color and used replace color and nothing happened. Choose one of the selection tools, like the Rectangular Marquee tool. Use the Color Range command as you normally would.
